Sonrava Health announced that Preet Takkar, President and Chief Operating Officer has been appointed Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Takkar brings deep industry expertise and a proven track record of operational leadership. He replaced Daniel D. Crowley as CEO.
Sonrava Health, based in Texas, is a national family of health and wellness companies – including differentiated dental office brands with over 570 affiliated offices, dental and vision benefit plans, provider networks, and consumer products and services. It supports locations in 20 states from CA to MD and from MI to TX.
A geographically diverse, multi-specialty organization with a unique mix of providers and payors, Sonrava Health is comprised of several companies – including Western Dental & Orthodontics, Western Dental Kids, Brident Dental & Orthodontics, LooksBrite Optometry Centers, Vital Smiles, DentalWorks, and Perfect Teeth. In 2022, Western Dental acquired Mid-Atlantic Dental Partners.
Additionally, Sonrava Health is deeply engaged in medical-dental integration efforts, recognizing the critical connection between oral health and overall wellness, and advancing whole-person healthcare initiatives to improve patient outcomes.

Preet Takkar is no stranger to the Sonrava family. From 2015 to 2022, he held multiple leadership roles within the company, including Senior Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management, Chief Information Officer, and Chief Operating Officer. During his time with Sonrava, Takkar was instrumental in driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of innovation and quality care across all of Sonrava Health’s clinics.
In October of 2024, after two years as Chief Operating Officer at Upstream Rehabilitation, a national provider of outpatient physical and occupational therapy services, Takkar returned to Sonrava Health to take on the role of President and COO.
In his role, Takkar oversaw all aspects of Sonrava Health’s operations, ensuring that the organization. He will also spearheaded initiatives to further streamline business operations and drive Sonrava’s strategic growth.
