Tralongo acquires Southern Dental Associates adding 9 practices.

Tralongo LLC, an Atlanta-based firm specializing in dental practice acquisitions, recently acquired long-standing Texas-based dental group, Southern Dental Associates. Purchased from veteran dentist Dr. David Lewis, the deal will allow for the gradual acquisition of all nine of the practice’s locations while Dr. Lewis transitions out of the business.

“Dr. Lewis spent more than 40 years building his dental practice and now that he is ready to move on to his next chapter in life, we are honored to take over his long-standing practices,” said Dr. Ken Tralongo, founder and CEO, Tralongo LLC. “Tralongo is always looking to assist dentists, no matter what their future may hold, and we’re here to offer support to both Dr. Lewis and the professionals who will oversee Southern Dental Associates’ nine location in the future.”

Southern Dental Associates was established in 1957 with three locations, with Dr. Lewis taking over in 1972. Since then, the dental group has grown to its current size with offices in Houston, Stafford, Katy, Humble, Pasadena and Webster, with services ranging from basic cleanings to dental implants and orthodontics. With the purchase, Tralongo will work closely with Dr. Lewis to ensure each of the nine office’s identities and autonomy is not lost – one of the company’s main objectives.

“I’ve been practicing with Southern Dental Associates for decades, so when it came time for me to step back, I knew I didn’t want to sell to just anyone – I wanted someone who understood how important these practices are,” said Dr. Lewis. “Working with Tralongo has been an extremely smooth process and I am confident they will find the right partner for the practices.”

  1. Dental benefits are a small but important part of the essential health benefits. Dentist carefully handle their patient’s need and also very carefully treat them. Thanks for sharing.
