Straine Dental Management Expands its Network Through the Acquisition of Six Dental Practices. Straine Dental Management, a dentist-owned, dentist-led DSO, announced the acquisition of six dental practices in Louisiana, Michigan, and North Carolina. The platform was formed in 2022 by the merger of Straine Dental Consulting and 33 practices in 11 states.

H.I.G. Capital Completes Recapitalization of Advanced Dental Brands. H.I.G. Capital, a global alternative investment firm with $56 billion of equity capital under management, announced that one of its affiliates has completed a significant growth investment in Advanced Dental Brands, LLC (ADB). Founded in 2007 by Dr. Richard Miller, ADB is a DPO in the Northeast U.S. They currently serve nearly 40 dental practices across multiple states and have approximately 400 employees.
LADD Dental Group/Signet Leadership LLC Acquires Elsner Family Dentistry in Westfield, Indiana. Elsner has been service the Westfield community for 8+ years. LADD/Signet is an emerging dental group headquartered in North Cental Indiana and has seven locations throughout the area. The group is led by Mary Ladd, CEO.
Imagen DPO® Expands with a Multi-Location Dental Clinic in Oregon and California. The new partnership is with Crane Mountain Dental in Lakeview, Oregon, and Alturas, California. Crane is led by Dr. Mark Davis.
SALT Dental Collective add new location – now supports 57 locations across 22 brands:

Western Dental Announces New Locations:
- Woodland California location has 14 treatment rooms.
- Twenty-four locally branded general dentistry and orthodontic offices in Arizona, Florida and Pennsylvania. Sonrava Health now supports 588 offices in 21 states. The new offices enhance Sonrava Health’s existing presence in Arizona and Pennsylvania, adding 5 and 6 offices, respectively, bringing the totals in those states to 28 and 15. The transaction also provides Sonrava Health with an attractive strategic 13-office foothold in Florida, an important new market for the organization.

Sage Dental Announces the Opening of its 100th Practice Following its Acquisition of Kendall Dental Care in Miami. Since 2020, Sage has nearly doubled the number of practices in its network in Florida and Georgia and, in terms of locations, it is now the largest DSO operating in south Florida. Also, Sage Dental just opened a new practice in Altamonte Springs, FL, Sage Dental of Maitland, led by Dr. George Sonbol, Dr. Tisa Tellez, Dr. Sandra Badrous. As the DSO continues to expand, its leadership team expects to add at least 20 more practices to Sage’s network by the end of 2023.
United Dental Corporation Expands Presence in California. UDC announced its third acquisition tranche. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. UDC’s latest partnership expands its existing presence in California and represents the twelfth practice acquisition since commencing its acquisition strategy in October 2022.
Dentologie Opens Newest location. This one is in River North, Chicago on Orleans Street. The new location brings the emerging dental group’s total location count to eight. The group was founded in 2013 and is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois.
Centres Dentaires Lapointe Opens New Location. This is their 30th center in Quebec and it is located in the city of Neufchatel. The DSO was founded in 1987 and affiliated with Altima Dental in 2019, and merged with 123Dentist in 2022. The group is led by Larry Lapointe and Yves Lapointe.
SGA Dental Partners Grows to 100 Locations. SGA leadership is intensely focused on growing its presence in the specialty services, specifically implants and periodontics, in 2023.
Abra Health Group Acquires Eugene McGuire, DDS Pediatric Dental Practice. This newest location is in Allentown, PA. Founded in 2008 by Doctors Michael and Brooke Skolnick, a husband-and-wife dental team, Abra Health, the group formerly known as The ChildSmiles Group, is a rapidly expanding family of health practices. With multiple recent acquisitions and new locations opening regularly, the group includes several pediatric primary care and dental clinics for patients of all ages in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. With over 700 employees, they have large-footprint practices which accommodate hundreds of patients daily.
{my}dentist’s £1.8 Million Investment Sets Up Practice in Bridgwater. The UK’s largest dentistry provider {my}dentist has invested £1.8 million to create a practice in Bridgwater offering orthodontic and specialist dental care. The practice took 16 months to build.
Phase 1 Equity Expands into Texas with the Addition of Hart Orthodontics. Phase 1 Equity, a doctor-owned, doctor-led, and doctor-governed partnership services organization for orthodontists and pediatric dentists, announced that Hart Orthodontics of Cleburne, TX, has joined its growing platform, expanding Phase 1’s Doctor Equity™ DSO model into the state of Texas. Kristen Cusack is the CEO of Phase 1 Equity.
HighFive Healthcare Secures $100 Million Investment Led by Norwest to Fuel Growth of Oral Surgery and Endodontic Practices. HighFive Healthcare, a specialty dental partnership organization focused on endodontics and oral surgery, announced that they have closed a $100 million growth investment. The strategic investment and partnership will enable HighFive to continue its growth across the southeast United States and beyond. HighFive experienced rapid growth in 2022, doubling its practice size through the acquisition of partnering practices and organic growth, and this momentum has continued in 2023. From 2021 to 2022, HighFive’s headcount increased by 142% and annual revenue increased by 150%.
BOND Announces Partnership with Dr. Blair A. Kirk and Kirk Orthodonticsin Petaluma, CA. Kirk Orthodontics serves Sonoma and Marin County. BOND launched in 2022. The addition of Kirk Orthodontics expands the fast-growing BOND platform, which has 15+ locations in markets across Arizona, California, Nevada, Idaho, and Montana. They partner with independent orthodontists in the Western United States.

CarolinasDentist Opens Asheville Location. CarolinasDentist is headuqrtered in Fayetteville, NC and was founded in 2013. They have 13 locations across North Carolina.
Scottish Dental Care Acquires Two Glasgow Practices. The dental group has recently acquired two long-standing dental practices in Glasgow. The Barrhead and Gorbals Dental Practices were acquired from owner Fraser MacAulay. With this acquisition, Scottish Dental Care now operates 19 practices across the country. Headquartered in Glasgow, Scottish Dental Care has been steadily expanding its presence across Scotland. The group now consists of 80 dentists and employs over 200 team members and is led by Lynn Hood.
