PDS Health™ is revolutionizing healthcare by combining its specialist ownership model with the launch of PDS Health Technologies™. This dual approach empowers providers with business ownership while offering advanced technology and operational support to improve care delivery and patient outcomes across a growing network.

Expanding Technology for Integrated Care

PDS Health, an integrated healthcare support organization, has launched PDS Health Technologies, expanding its ability to deliver proven technology solutions, revenue cycle services, and operational support that help healthcare organizations advance integrated care and improve patient outcomes.

Over the past decade, PDS Health has invested in the infrastructure necessary to support integrated, data-driven patient care. It was the first dental organization of its scale to implement Epic® across its supported practices, integrating dental and medical health records for more complete patient histories. Today, that system is live across more than 1,000 locations and is helping supported practices operate more efficiently while delivering more connected, informed care.

Through Epic Community Connect, PDS Health Technologies now extends these capabilities to external organizations and providers, offering them access to a proven, scalable model for electronic health record (EHR) integration. With comprehensive support, training, and system management, dental and medical organizations can access shared medical and dental records through Epic, improving coordination among providers and enhancing care delivery.

PDS Health technology“PDS Health Technologies builds on our long-standing commitment to supporting providers with the systems and expertise to deliver integrated, connected care,” said Stephen E. Thorne IV, founder and CEO of PDS Health. “By expanding these capabilities to a broader network of healthcare organizations, we are accelerating the adoption of smarter, more integrated solutions and improving the way care is delivered.”

Comprehensive Support Beyond EHR Integration

In addition to EHR integration, PDS Health Technologies provides revenue cycle management to improve financial performance, consulting services to strengthen technology and practice operations, and staffing and operational support for implementation, training, and leadership development. By making these solutions available beyond its own practices, PDS Health Technologies offers healthcare organizations access to proven systems that support long-term sustainability and better care delivery.

PDS Health Technologies is led by Preston Raulerson, who has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare technology. His background includes roles at Optum, The Advisory Board Company, Clinovations, Epic Systems, and Bon Secours, where he specialized in EHR implementation, healthcare operations, and business strategy. PDS Health Technologies simplifies the complexity behind care delivery. Through aligned technology, operational support and integrated health records, it helps healthcare organizations work more efficiently, coordinate care across disciplines, and make more informed decisions that improve patient health.

Specialist Ownership Model Gains Momentum

PDS Health is also rapidly expanding its specialty dental support and ownership model, which empowers endodontists and periodontists to grow their practices while collaborating directly with general dentists. The model currently spans seven states—Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia—and supports care delivery in more than 160 general dentistry offices.

This proven model gives specialists the opportunity to own their businesses with the backing of PDS Health’s infrastructure. Specialists gain equity, retain clinical independence, and benefit from comprehensive business support, including appointment scheduling, billing, and operational services. This structure enables them to deliver specialty care, such as root canals and gum disease treatment, directly within general dentistry offices—offering patients greater convenience and continuity of care.

A Scalable Path to Ownership and Growth

Currently, the specialist model includes:

  • Eight regionally aligned partnerships across seven states

  • Four specialty owners partnering with 26 associate specialists

  • Services delivered through endodontic and periodontic groups embedded in general practices, eliminating the need for off-site referrals

Together, the expansion of PDS Health’s specialty ownership model and the launch of PDS Health Technologies reflect the organization’s broader commitment to transforming how care is delivered and supported. By empowering specialists with business ownership opportunities and delivering cutting-edge technology and operational solutions through its new division, PDS Health is creating a future where providers can thrive clinically and financially. This integrated approach not only strengthens the infrastructure behind care delivery but also improves access, continuity, and outcomes for patients—advancing the promise of smarter, more connected healthcare across disciplines and state lines.
