Comfort Dental Care & Orthodontics and its four multi-specialty locations have just been acquired by Marquee Dental Partners.
Headquartered in Nashville, TN, Marquee Dental Partners has over 42 locations in Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, Arkansas, and now Florida. Marquee was founded in 2015 by Chicago Pacific Founders. The partnership with Comfort Dental Care & Orthodontics will advance their growth and expansion in the southeast.
Comfort Dental Care & Orthodontics currently employs eight dentists and offers its patients a wide range of treatment options such as preventive care, general dentistry, orthodontics, oral surgery, periodontics, endodontics, prosthodontics, and advanced same-day services.
Marquee Dental was founded by James Usdan, a thought leader in the industry who has led or served on the board of four dental service companies and remains actively involved as a board member of Marquee. The DSO expands by building de novos and through strategic acquisitions.
Fred Ward, CEO of Marquee Dental Partners, thinks that over the next ten years, three key trends for dentistry will be implants, orthodontics and value-based care. The addition of Comfort Dental Care & Orthodontics compliments that vision.
Comfort Dental Care & Orthodontics was founded in 1995 by Dr. Alan Farrugia in Crestview, Florida. Dr. Farrugia quickly recognized that it was inconvenient and costly for patients to travel to multiple offices to receive complete dental care. This inefficiency in the dental industry inspired Dr. Farrugia to build a multi-specialty, all-in-one-office business model at Comfort Dental.
For over 25 years, Dr. Farrugia has been heavily involved in cosmetic dentistry, most recently refining the industry standard All on 4™ method, elevating it to another level in the form of his Rapid Replacement and Recovery Technique™. He has a license in China to educate dental surgeons and provide patients with this treatment.
Dr. Farrugia is also the creator of Same Day Implants™ and one of the few surgeons in the world who can deliver patients permanent teeth in one day rather than the usual ‘temporary’ teeth that require multiple visits and months of waiting.
While still actively practicing in the Florida Panhandle in his Comfort Dental Care & Orthodontics offices, he also spends time at his DENTL™ Implant Studio, in Naples Florida, training the next generation of master dentists.
