Two of Great Expressions Dental Centers top executives have been honored with
Stevie Women in Business Awards for their leadership in the industry. Dr. Sindy
Goodman, National Orthodontic Director, won a Silver Stevie Award in the category of
Mentor or Coach of the Year, and Pamela Holder, Vice President of Insurance and
Accounts Receivable, won a Bronze Stevie Award in the category of Female Executive
of the Year.
“Dr. Sindy Goodman and Pam Holder are true assets to Great Expressions Dental
Centers, exemplifying leadership and excellence day in and day out, both on the job
and in the community,” said Richard Beckman, CEO of Great Expressions Dental
Centers. “I’m glad to see that the judges of the Stevie Awards for Women in Business
have recognized these two for their incredible contributions to the profession.”
Dr. Goodman oversees operations and clinical supervision of all orthodontic offices
in GEDC’s four major markets, including 42 orthodontic offices. She serves as a
mentor and advisor to all of the company’s orthodontists, but is equally involved in
offering guidance outside of the organization. She has made it her mission to
encourage girls to get a higher education while counseling them during local career
days and in her many interactions with young patients.
Holder manages nearly 100 people in her role, overseeing the revenue cycle from
start to finish. She develops protocols that guarantee accuracy and consistency
across the company’s many departments. Holder joined GEDC in 2009 as an insurance
clerk, after spending 19 years as a stay at home mom and returning to college to
complete her degree at the age of 40.
The Stevie Awards for Women in Business is an international competition produced by
the creators of the prestigious International Business Awards and American Business
Awards. The Stevie is widely considered to be the world’s premier business award.
More than 1,300 nominations from organizations and individuals in 26 nations were
submitted to the awards this year. More than 160 professionals around the world
participated in the judging process to determine the finalists and then the Gold,
Silver and Bronze Stevie Award placements.
