30 Years. 3 Companies. 1 Name: Straine Unifies Under a Single Brand

Straine

DSO Spotlight

After three decades of building systems, supporting dental practices, and expanding services across North America, Straine has officially unified its three operating companies into one brand identity.

Straine Dental Consulting, Straine Dental Analytics, and Straine Dental Management are now operating under a single name: Straine.

The move reflects what leadership says has always been true behind the scenes. One integrated organization delivering one connected solution for dental practice owners.

A Unified Identity Built on Three Decades of Work

Straine’s roots go back to the early 1990s when founders Olivia and Kerry Straine began working with dental practices on management and operational strategy. What started as consulting services evolved over time into a broader platform supporting thousands of practices across the United States and Canada.

Straine Dental Management (SDM), established on April 13, 2022, is the result of bringing together SDM and 33 dental practices spanning eleven states, with an initial portfolio of $65 million in revenue, SDM reached nearly $83 million in 2023, which includes the June 2023 acquisition of six locations, increasing the portfolio by $10 million. In 2024, they were a Group Dentistry Now Emerging Dental Group to Watch winner.

Today, Straine delivers services across accounting, analytics, consulting, HR, IT, marketing, recruiting, procurement, brand development, and performance management.

According to the organization, the unification is less about change and more about clarity.

“We didn’t build three separate companies. We built one complete solution, and for thirty years, the dental industry has known exactly where to find it. Now the name reflects what was already true,” said Kerry Straine, Co-Founder and CEO.

One Name, One Experience for Dental Practice Owners

Previously structured across three branded entities, Straine now operates as a single, integrated organization. The goal is to simplify how dental practice owners engage with its services.

Rather than navigating multiple divisions, clients now work through one unified team delivering coordinated support across every major area of practice performance.

“Our clients never saw three companies. They saw Straine,” said Olivia Straine, Co-Founder and CEO. “This rebrand honors the relationship they built with us and makes it easier for every dental professional to understand exactly what we offer from day one.”

Built From Within the Dental Profession

Unlike many DSOs and consulting organizations backed by external capital, Straine emphasizes that its foundation was built from within the dental profession itself.

Over 30 years, the company has grown through long-term relationships, practice-by-practice implementation, and an operational model shaped by clinicians and dental operators.

That history, leadership says, remains central to the brand’s identity and approach.

Simplicity as a Strategic Decision

As Straine expanded its footprint across solo practices, specialty groups, and multi-location organizations, managing multiple sub-brands became increasingly complex.

The decision to unify under one name was driven by a desire to simplify both internal operations and the client experience.

The result is a single point of entry for dental practice owners seeking operational, financial, and strategic support.

The company also launched a redesigned website and updated brand identity to reflect the change, now live at straine.com.

Looking Ahead

With the unified brand in place, Straine is positioning itself as a single integrated partner for dental practices seeking scalable operational support and long-term performance improvement.

The organization’s leadership describes the shift as an alignment of identity with reality, consolidating decades of experience into one cohesive platform for the future of dental practice management.
