ADSO Ensures Their Effective and Constructive Voice Is Heard with New Government Affairs Appointment

The Association of Dental Support Organizations (ADSO), a non-profit organization that represents Dental Support Organizations (DSOs) before the public, policymakers and the media, has announced Lisa Steelman as their new Vice President of Government Affairs. Lisa will join ADSO’s Government Relations Leadership Team which advocates on behalf of the association at the federal, state and local levels.  She is latest addition to the ADSO team. In September, ADSO named Chris Vranas as their new Executive Director.  (Read Chris’s story HERE.)

DSOs are criticized by some who either don’t understand how a DSO operates, or because they present a competitive threat. Because the attacks are real and threaten the ability of dentists to choose the administrative support services that best suit their practice, ADSO members have committed to a strong government affairs structure that works to inform and educate policy makers about the benefits of DSOs in their communities, including jobs, lower healthcare costs, and expanded access to dental care through supported dental practices.
