DCA Welcomes Grapevine Dental to its Growing Family
Dental Care Alliance (DCA) announces the addition of Grapevine Dental to its growing family of allied practices. Located in historic Grapevine, an area that is central to both Dallas and Fort Worth, TX, Grapevine Dental was founded in 2007 and is led by Dr. Michael Colangelo. The addition of Grapevine Dental brings DCA’s footprint in Texas to 30 allied practices. This marks DCA’s sixth affiliation in 2021 so far, and continued aggressive growth is expected in the remainder of the year. With nearly 100 brands across 325 dental offices, DCA recently joined the Group Dentistry Now podcast to discuss what dental practice owners need to know about partnering with a DSO.
Endo1 Partners Secures a Quarter Of $1 Billion Debt Facility
Endo1 and its family of brands has secured an additional debt facility to expand its growing platform and support its evolution. The transaction, which closed on September 27 with Webster Bank, brings the total amount of capital raised in the last 12 months to $250 million. Established in October 2019 with just six locations, Endo1 Partners has significantly consolidated its presence in its core markets and expanded its position in over 15 new markets during its first two years in operation. The dental group made Group Dentistry Now’s Emerging Groups to Watch list in 2020. Today, Endo1 Partners is the largest and fastest-growing group dedicated specifically to supporting dental surgical specialists—partnering with 85 practices and 130 specialists across the country. This rapid growth earned Endo1 Partners a top spot on the Inc. 5000 2021 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America. Select Dental Management Announces Expansion into Massachusetts and D.C. District
Select Dental Management was founded in February of 2018 by two life-long friends, Elliot Zibel, former institutional investor and Dr. Jonathan Mason, a ‘Top 30 under 30’ dentist, with the goal of creating a differentiated support and affiliation model focused on attracting and retaining the highest quality clinical partners. Select Dental Management has grown to 29 practices in total and have recently expanded their footprint into Massachusetts as well as the D.C. area. As of August, Select Dental Management established their first partnership in Massachusetts with one dental group, in addition to the Washington D.C. area where we’ve entered two additional relationships. Select now has roots across 9 states in the Northeast: Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Washington D.C. The group made the Emerging Dental Groups to Watch in 2020 list.
Guided Practice Solutions Welcomes Second Dental Practice in Hermitage, TN
GPS welcomes Hermitage Family & Cosmetic Dentistry to the DSO which was founded in 2015 by Dr. Hunter Smith and Dr. William Little. Based in Jonesboro, Arkansas, GPS Dental currently supports 32 dentists, 21 practices, 7 dental partners across Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Indiana.
42 North Dental Adds Oral Surgery Specialty Practice
42 North Dental finalized a partnership with South Shore Oral Surgery Associates (SSOS), an oral surgery practice in Quincy, MA. The practice was founded by dentist-owners Dr. David Lustbader, Dr. Michael Gu, and Dr. Paul Wilson. All doctors remain with the practice and continue to provide patient care with Dr. Lustbader serving as Dental Director. South Shore Oral Surgery Associates is the second specialty specific dental practice in the 42 North Dental network. 42 North Dental is a dental support organization in the Northeast supporting 35 practice brands in 88 locations.
Sage Dental Announces Grand Opening of Dental Office in North Druid Hills, Georgia
The new facility was built with safe dental care in mind during the COVID-19 pandemic and adheres to the company’s #SageSafe program, including enhanced air filtration, illness pre-screening, contactless paperwork, and other protective measures. Serving more than 250,000 patients across Florida and Georgia, the North Druid Hills location is Sage Dental’s ninth practice in Georgia and the company’s 67th location nationally. Based in Boca Raton, Florida, Sage Dental Management, LLC provides support services to nearly 70 affiliated practices.
Guardian Dentistry Partners Secures Over $100M Financing Facility
Guardian has secured more than $100 million in debt financing from Twin Brook Capital Partners, a direct lending finance company. Guardian, which has seen its dental partnerships across the country grow exponentially since its founding in 2018, is expected to announce new partnerships with nearly 30 dental practices across the Eastern United States, including partnerships in two new states. They made the prestigious Group Dentistry Now 2020 Emerging Groups to Watch list.
Imagen Dental Partners Expands
Imagen Dental Partners Expands into its eighth state with the addition of two California practices, Scripps Rock Dental and Schaffer Dental Excellence, and announces plans for continued expansion in 2022. Imagen will continue its rapid expansion throughout 2021 into 2022, including plans to partner with practices in Texas, Ohio, Florida, Michigan, Western Kentucky, and Northern Indiana. Led by CEO, Rezwan Manji, the dental partnership organization (DPO) is headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Cherry Tree Dental Acquires Richard Patelski DDS Family and General Dentistry, Announcing Illinois Presence
Cherry Tree Dental, a Wisconsin-based dental practice management company, has announced its first practice acquisition outside of its home state. The DMO has acquired Richard Patelski DDS Family and General Dentistry in Downers Grove, Illinois. Dr. Patelski’s practice has been serving the Downers Grove community since 1981. Founded in 2006 and based in Madison, WI, Cherry Tree is the one of the largest general dentistry providers in Wisconsin, operating 33 locations in 10 Wisconsin cities and now Downers Grove, Illinois. The growing dental group is lead by Co-CEOs Jack Young and Steve Sorrel.
Southern Orthodontic Partners Expands
Based in Nashville, TN, Southern Orthodontic Partners (SOP) has expanded to Dallas, TX with the closing of partnerships with Dr. Hilton Goldreich of Goldreich Orthodontics (Plano, TX) and Dr. Marlon Henderson of Henderson Orthodontics (Duncanville, TX). They have also announced the addition of Dr. Jeff Mastroianni & Dr. Becky Schreiner of Amazing Smiles Orthodontics (O’Fallon, IL), Alizadeh & Schreiner Orthodontics (Chesterfield, MO), and Unger Orthodontics (Saint Peters, MO). The DSO has locations in FL, GA TN, TX, and VA.
Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics Opens 33rd Office
Founded by a group of dentists in Texas, Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics just opened a new office located in Greeley, Colorado. This is the rapidly growing DSO’s 33rd location and the second location in the Colorado market. It will service Weld County and the surrounding areas. Beacon Oral Specialists, has Entered into a Strategic Partnership with Maryland Oral Surgery Associates (MOSA)
Beacon Oral Specialists is a DMO serving the oral surgery sector. Maryland Oral Surgery Associates is the largest oral surgery practice in Maryland and one of the largest nationally. MOSA is comprised of 15 oral surgeons. This new partnership immediately expands Beacon’s presence in the mid-Atlantic with eight new locations in the state of Maryland. Beacon most recently entered a relationship with Fairfax Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, serving Northern Virginia with six practice locations in June of this year. Combined, the two practices represent 14 locations in the greater Washington, D.C., metropolitan region. With the announcement of the MOSA partnership, Beacon is partnered with 73 oral surgeons, practicing in 57 locations across Northern and Southern California, Georgia, Virginia, and Maryland. Pacific Dental Services® (PDS), Announces a New Partnership with Periodontics Health Group
Periodontics Health Group (PHG) is a newly formed periodontic specialty DSO located in Florida. Zulema Valdivia, DDS is at the helm, leading a team of eight additional periodontists. PHG will provide care to patients in more than 40 PDS-supported practices throughout South and Central Florida, with plans to expand its footprint in Florida as well as other states. The group will be contracted with PDS-supported dental practices to provide patients with multi-specialty care conveniently located in the same practice as their general dentist. PDS was founded in 1994. With more than 800 supported dental offices across the United States, PDS has been on the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest growing private companies in America 14 times.
Smile Brands and P3 Dental Group Announce New Affiliate Partnership with Rose Family Dentistry in Las Vegas, Nevada
Smile Brands, based in Irvine, California, is one of the largest providers of dental support services in the United States. The company supports nearly 700 affiliated practices, with more than 7,500 dedicated team members across 30 states. Smile Brands supports a portfolio of over 75 brands including well-known regional brands: Bright Now! Dental, Castle Dental, Merit Dental, Midwest Dental, Monarch Dental, and Mondovi Dental. The DSO has announced its latest partnership with Rose Family Dentistry in Las Vegas, Nevada. Smile Brands and partner P3 Dental Group of Las Vegas will provide full-service administrative support to the practice. Existing staff will remain in place and the business will continue to operate under the Rose Family Dentistry brand. Dr. Craig Rose founded Rose Family Dentistry in 1998 and leads a staff of eight.
Tend Opens Another Studio in NYC
Launched in 2019, Tend is a DSO serving more than 20,000 patients and 256 team members across locations in New York City, Boston, Atlanta, and DC. Their newest location is on the Upper East Side of NYC. The dental group, which offers aesthetically soothing and modern spaces, is privately held and growing quickly.
Vista Verde Dental Partners Welcomes Frank Caputo, DDS
Based in Carmel, Indiana, Vista Verde Dental Partners, has welcomed another dentist to its brand, Britely Dentures & Implants. A graduate of Marquette University School of Dentistry, Dr. Frank Caputo joins the group from Cudahy Dental Associates. Britely has offices in four locations across the U.S. including Milwaukee, WI, Minneapolis, MN, Scottsdale, AZ and Surprise, AZ. Each office is equipped to provide everything for implant and denture services. Every location also features a surgical suite specifically designed for full mouth restorations.
