DSO Spotlight

Mosaic Dental Collective brought its top 50 doctors – a combination of partner and associate dentists – together with practice support team leaders and dental industry leaders for its fifth annual company event, held October 8 – 10, 2026, at the historic Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle.

The invitation-only gathering combined advanced clinical education, peer-to-peer mentorship and the Mosaic Circle of Excellence Gala, which recognizes outstanding dentistry and service to communities. Together, these experiences brought Mosaic’s “Better Together” philosophy to life.

Based in Vancouver, WA, Mosaic Dental Collective, LLC is a doctor-led dental services organization supporting general dentistry, pediatrics, orthodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery. With 50+ locations across California, Washington and Idaho, Mosaic’s mission is to support providers in delivering exceptional, patient-centered care.

A Meaningful Investment in Continuing Education

The three-day program featured nationally recognized clinicians, medical professionals and experts from within Mosaic’s own network. Attending doctors had the opportunity to complete more than half of their annual continuing education requirements in a single gathering, with the educational programming provided at no cost to doctors.

The sessions spanned implant dentistry, orthodontic growth patterns, soft tissue grafting, restorative treatment, endodontics, case acceptance and the connection between periodontal and systemic health. Featured presentations included:

  • Rebecca Bockow, DDS, MSD – Healthy Face: Understanding Growth Patterns and Creating Harmony
  • Katherine Tran, DDS (Mosaic Dental Collective) – Timing and Techniques in Soft Tissue Grafts Around Implants
  • Brett Sealove, MD, and Adam Burr, DDS (OraPharma) – Periodontal Health and Its Connection to Systemic Conditions
  • Bruno Arnaud, DDS, MBA (Straumann) – Demystifying Implant Immediacy and Aesthetic Prosthetic Emergences
  • Brock Hinton, DDS (Mosaic Dental Collective) – Achieving High Case Acceptance
  • Steve Ottosen, DDS, MSD (Mosaic Dental Collective) – Improving Endodontic Prognosis and Efficiency

The inclusion of both medical and dental perspectives underscored the importance of oral health within whole-person care. Presentations by Mosaic doctors also showcased the clinical knowledge shared across the collective.

Mentorship Beyond the Lecture Hall

For associate dentists, the gathering offered direct access to experienced partner doctors, clinical mentors and chief clinical officers. Across educational sessions and informal conversations, doctors exchanged ideas, discussed complex cases and built relationships that can continue throughout the year.

For prospective doctors exploring a long-term professional home, the event illustrates Mosaic’s approach to development: providing access to education, experienced colleagues, peer recognition and opportunities to grow within a collaborative clinical community.

Peer-Selected Honors at the Mosaic Circle of Excellence Gala

The Mosaic Circle of Excellence Gala recognized doctors and practices for clinical accomplishments, leadership and contributions to their communities. Winners were selected by their peers, and each honoree received a distinctive 2026 MDC Champion “Better Together” Championship Belt.

  • Best Aesthetic Case – Wendy Spektor, DDS from Spektor Dental
  • Best Multi-Disciplinary Restorative Case – Prosthodontic Dental Group
  • Best Orthodontic/Aligner Case – Wenatchee Dental
  • Spirit of Mosaic Award – Nikki Sekhon, DDS
  • Humanitarian Award – Mark DiRe, DDS

The awards celebrate both technical excellence and the compassion, service and collegiality that shape the Mosaic community.

Connection, Leadership and the Road Ahead

Outside the classroom, doctors, practice support leaders and sponsors joined a dinner cruise along the Seattle waterfront, creating time for conversations and relationships beyond the operatory.

Mosaic founder and CEO Jagdev Heir, MD, DMD, FACS, opened the event by recognizing the original doctors who joined the collective. An exclusive partner doctor insight session and company update provided a forum to discuss organizational priorities and Mosaic’s future direction.

“Our annual event is about much more than continuing education or recognizing achievements. It’s about investing in our doctors, learning from one another, celebrating exceptional patient care, and building relationships that strengthen our entire collective. We want every doctor at Mosaic to feel proud of the organization they’re part of and excited about the opportunities ahead. That’s what #BetterTogether is all about.” — Jagdev Heir, MD, DMD, FACS, Founder and CEO, Mosaic Dental Collective

A Culture Built Around Doctors

Now in its fifth year, Mosaic’s annual event has become a signature opportunity to celebrate achievement, invest in professional development and bring doctors together across practices. For partner doctors, it offers a chance to contribute to the collective’s direction; for associates, it creates opportunities to learn from experienced clinicians and develop lasting professional relationships.

The message behind the gathering is simple: great dentistry starts with great doctors – and Mosaic believes doctors are stronger together.

“Mosaic gives us the opportunity to learn from exceptional doctors and build relationships that extend beyond our individual practices. This event brings that to life through continuing education, shared clinical experiences, and meaningful time with partner doctors and mentors. You leave with new knowledge, stronger relationships, and a real sense of belonging to something bigger.” — Katherine Tran, DDS, Caton State
