Henry Schein has officially released their plans for the highly anticipated DSO Education Forum, taking place May 17-18, 2019 at the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, NV. Last year’s event drew over 600 attendees, from over 140 group practices & DSOs between the US and Canada, making it one of the nation’s largest DSO events of the year. Henry Schein is hoping to exceed those attendance numbers in 2019 and has assembled an extraordinary lineup of two dozen speakers who will speak within 3 unique tracks:
The 2019 keynote speaker will be Julie Rice. Julie Rice is an entrepreneur best known for co-founding the fitness phenomenon, SoulCycle. Rice served as Co-CEO at SoulCycle from 2006 to 2015 before becoming the Chief Brand Officer at WeWork in November 2017.
In addition to the three education tracks, a few panels are also scheduled. The first panel titled “Dental Industry Titans” will be moderated by Brian Colao (Director, Dykema DSO Group) and will feature Stanley Bergman, Chairman & CEO of Henry Schein, Marc Berendes, CEO of Kulzer GmbH, and Donald Casey, CEO of Dentsply Sirona. The panel will primarily revolve around the importance of a positive team culture within your organization, and having team culture be on the minds of leadership on a consistent basis.
A DSO Executive Panel will be moderated by Jake Meadows, Vice President of Sales at Henry Schein, and will include three executives from DSOs of varying sizes.
A Women’s Leadership Panel will be moderated by Julie Rice and panelists will include Kim Diamond, Senior Director at Henry Schein, Melissa Marquez, COO DentalOne Partners, Jen Naylor, Executive Vice President at Hu-Friedy, and Lori Noga, CEO of Tranquility Dental. Topics of discussion will include Women’s Leadership within the DSO Community, Recruiting women into your C-Suite, among other topics.
Steve Thorne, CEO of Pacific Dental Services, will close out the DSO Education Forum on Saturday afternoon.
The National and Emerging DSO Track is perfect for executives within DSOs of all sizes. The DSO Hygiene Track is geared towards Hygienists, Chief Hygiene Officers, or team members responsible for Hygiene across all locations. The track will primarily focus on scaling and increasing workflow and profits across locations. The new Leadership Development Track is perfect for anyone responsible for managing or leading a team. This could be an office manager at one location, a Regional Manager responsible for several locations, etc. or even a CEO / COO looking to broaden their leadership skills.
