Dental support organization (DSO) and dental group practice consolidation remain steady, but there has been a dip in December’s activity. This could be attributed to the holiday season. Perhaps deals are taking longer to close or fewer deals are closing? We’ll see how Q1 2024 plays out.

TUSK Partners, the premiere dental-focused M&A Advisor, advised Dr. Butterworth in his affiliation with Squire Dental. The transaction was led by Josh Swearingen, Director of Mergers & Acquisitions at TUSK Partners. Alex Cherniavsky and Taylor Adams spearheaded the diligence and analytics efforts for TUSK. Dr. Butterworth’s practice is a cosmetic and general dentistry group in Northeast Virginia. Dr. Butterworth and his team have provided premier patient-centered dental care to their surrounding community for over 35 years.

Affordable Care announced new locations which brings their new location total in 2023 to 25. They plan to add 30 more locations in 2024:

MCA Dental Group, a Canadian Dental Support Organization (DSO), announced a successful capital raise in partnership with Persistence Capital Partners (PCP) to fund its continued growth and expansion. With this incremental commitment and support from PCP, MCA is poised for rapid expansion and is actively seeking opportunities to acquire dental practices across Canada. MCA is led by CEO, Ken Craig.
Guardian Dentistry Partners acquires new partners:

InterDent Service Corporation is a dental service organization with over 150 affiliated dental offices serving over one million patients each year. Gentle Dental, its principal brand, announced the opening of its new location, Gentle Dental Klamath Falls, in partnership with Cascade Health Alliance (CHA).
Dentologie, a Chicago-based dental group founded in 2013, opened its ninth dental studio in the Windy City at 1009 W. Armitage Avenue in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. The Armitage location follows Dentologie’s opening in the Southport Corridor in September. The company will have 10 Chicago locations by year-end 2023 in neighborhoods like the South Loop, Streeterville, Bucktown, West Loop, Clark & Diversey, Gold Coast, River North and more. The growing group currenlty serves 60,000 patients and employs nearly 200 team members.
Silver Creek Dental Partners welcomed Dr. Clark Henderson and his team at Clark Henderson Dental Corporation
Dental365 welcomed Dr. John J. Matthes, Matthes Dental into our 14th Street NYC location.
Heritage Dental Group LP expanded their portfolio with the addition of Dr. Zizi and his three Peak Dental practices in Austin, TX.

U.S. Oral Surgery Management (USOSM) announced eight new partner practices: Torrance Oral, Facial Surgery & Dental Implants; Fort Collins Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, LLC; T. - Located in Fort Collins, Colorado, Fort Collins Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery LLC has two doctors — Mark F. Orr, DDS, MD and Michael Daetwyler, DDS. They offer a wide variety of OMS procedures, with expertise ranging from corrective jaw surgery to wisdom tooth removal and everything in between.
- T. Matthew Jacks, DDS, LLC is located in Eugene, Oregon. Dr. Jacks specializes in complex and cosmetic facial and dental reconstructive surgery. Dr. Jacks is a former U.S. Navy Captain, who among other duties, was named the oral surgeon to the U.S. president and was responsible for the maxillofacial surgical rehabilitation of more than 100 wounded U.S. warriors.
- Located in Bingham Farms, Michigan, Bingham Farms OMFS Management is led by Timothy Schmakel, DDS, MD and Derek Nykiel, DDS, MD. They offer comprehensive OMS services from dental implants to wisdom teeth removal, facial trauma treatment and more.
- Premier Oral Surgery & Implants, PLC has two locations in Michigan – one in Grand Blanc and one in Lapeer. There are three doctors in the practice — Julianna Hukill, DDS, Stephen E. Nechvatal, DMD and Leslie Orzech, DMD. They offer a full scope of OMS procedures, focused on personalized, gentle and comprehensive patient care.
- Harborview Oral + Facial Surgery Center is located in Gulfport, Mississippi, and is led by Jason O. Rosetti, DDS. Dr. Rosetti provides a wide variety of OMS procedures, with particular expertise in dental implants, bone grafting and wisdom teeth removal.
- Located in Lexington, South Carolina, Lexington Facial & Oral Surgery is led by Patrick A. Scioscia, DMD. Dr. Scioscia practices a full scope of OMS, from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal, to corrective jaw surgery. This also includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort.
- Metroplex Surgical Arts has been serving Dallas, Texas, and the surrounding areas for more than 20 years. The practice is led by Howard F. Cooke, DMD, MS. Dr. Cooke offers a full scope of OMS procedures and highly personalized patient care.
Progressive Dental Concepts welcomed newest addition, Harrisburg, PA-based Linglestown Family Dental, which is led by Dr. Khal Syrianos-Robertson.
In 2023, Dental Care Ireland welcomed seven individual practices and over 100 new team members. They currently have 530 colleagues across the country.
