Almost 40 years ago, Dr. Wayne Mortenson founded Mortenson Family Dental, a single practitioner office in Middletown, KY. Now, Mortenson Family Dental has grown into Mortenson Dental Partners with over 120 dental practices in nine states. Dr. Mortenson and the leadership team of Mortenson Dental Partners decided to start Scaling Up Group Dental Symposium as a place for dental leaders to come together to discuss the future of dentistry.
Each year, Scaling Up Group Dental Symposium brings together leaders in group dentistry for honest conversation and idea sharing about the future of group dentistry. The meeting offers presentations from experts in their component of the industry, but also provides ample networking opportunities for attendees.
The 2018 Scaling Up Group Dental Symposium will kick off with a 
networking reception on Wednesday evening, November 14th, where attendees, presenters and sponsors can all get to know one another. Thursday’s presentations and break out sessions will give attendees the opportunity to focus on what is specifically important to their practices. Thursday night will provide another fun, engaging networking session at Louisville’s Ice House. The general session will wrap up on Friday, November 16th with best selling author, Jon Acuff, who will teach attendees about telling their story in a way that matters to their teams and patients. Jon (see video below) is a dynamic speaker with many key insights on how to make a business better and more meaningful to patients. You won’t want to miss him! Following Jon Acuff’s presentation will be an optional technology session to round out the event. (See full agenda below.)
For the last three years, Scaling Up Group Dental Symposium has been bringing together leaders from across the dental industry to share best practices in DSO growth. 2017’s Scaling Up Group Dental Symposium had over 300 attendees with 96 DSOs representing 1,300 dental practices, 12 million patient experiences, $2 billion in services provided to patients across 33 states.
