DSO People! New DSO and Dental Group Hires, Promotions & Awards August 2026

BIG leadership changes continued across the DSO and dental group landscape in August! Here are some of the notable people moves and awards:

The Association of Dental Support Organizations announced that Andrew Smith is stepping down as Chief Executive Officer at the end of 2026. Smith will continue to serve as CEO through December 31, 2026, while the ADSO Board of Directors conducts a search for the association’s next leader. The Board will provide additional information regarding the transition process as appropriate.


Jennifer Ellis joined U.S. Oral Surgery Management as Chief Financial Officer. Ellis will lead the organization’s financial strategy and finance team while serving as a member of the executive leadership team. She brings more than 25 years of corporate finance experience across publicly traded and privately held companies. Most recently, she served as CFO of Nothing Bundt Cakes, where she helped build the financial strategy, infrastructure and team needed to support a high-growth organization.


Premier Care Dental Management (PCDM), the parent organization of Dental365 and Leading Edge Specialized Dentistry, announced the promotion of Brian Musolin to Chief Strategy, Analytics & AI Officer, a newly created executive role. Musolin reports to Founder and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Scott Asnis. PCDM has locations across New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.


North American Dental Group (NADG) welcomed back Craig Conaway as Chief People and Culture Officer. He previously served as Chief People Officer at Community Care Partners for four years and NADG for three years. NADG also announced that Juan Carlos (J.C.) Ferguson would be their new Director of Finance and Corporate Development.


Judith Schoenmaeckers was appointed CEO of European Dental Group. She joined the organization in 2020 as COO and had served as interim CEO since June. Schoenmaeckers will also continue in her role as CEO of TopMondzorg. Her priorities include strengthening collaboration among EDG’s organizations, sharing best practices and supporting sustainable growth and innovation.


Lorri Detrick was named CEO of Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics. She brings more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience, including more than a decade in dentistry. Detrick most recently served as president and COO of Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry. Rodeo Dental also named Andrew Napolitano CFO, while co-founder Dr. Saam Zarrabi transitioned from CEO to executive chairman.


42 North Dental announced several organizational changes:

  • After 12 years with the organization, Geoffrey Ligibel stepped down as CEO. During his tenure, 42 North Dental experienced significant growth and strengthened its position in patient-centered quality and service delivery.
  • David E. Fusco, who most recently served as president, assumed the role of chief executive officer. Fusco brings more than 30 years of healthcare operations, business transformation and leadership experience to the position.
  • Michael Scialabba, DDS was named president while continuing to serve as chief clinical officer. His expanded responsibilities include oversight of corporate growth and development, integrations and procurement.
  • Brinda Subbiah has assumed the role of Chief Operations and Financial Officer, adding Operations to her existing leadership of Finance, RCM, Payor Strategy, IT, and AI.
  • Nicholas Shusas, most recently SVP of HR, is now the organization’s Chief Human Resources Officer joining Tracy Ziskovsky, Chief Marketing Officer as new additions to the 42 North Executive Leadership Team.

Kristen Leach joined Peak Dental Services as Director of Training. 


MB2 Dental welcomed:

  • Phyllis Jaworski as Senior Director of Operations
  • Bob Ingersoll as Director of Clinical Equipment

Jenny Farinella joined Bright Direction Dental as Director of Operations. She was previously regional manager and AR claims manager at Imagen Dental Partners. She began her career as an office manager with Elite Dental Partners.


Aura Yapur began a new role as Director of Operations at Great Expression Dental Centers. She previously worked at GEDC for 17 years. Most recently she worked at Imagen Dental Partners as the Regional Operations Manager.


Kemper Burt Jr. was promoted to Vice President of Operations at Star Dental Partners. Kemper has also worked for Specialty1 Partners, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons of Houston, Oral Surgery Management, LLC, and Pacific Dental Services.  Star is headquartered in Plano, Texas.


Jocelyn Perry returned to Specialty Dental Brands as Manager, RCM Systems after a few years at Imagen Dental Partners. She had worked at Specialty for over 16 years prior to that.


Jessica Yarzumbeck joined Southeast Dental Partners as Director of Marketing and Growth. In this role, she will be partnering closely with providers, operations leaders, and practice teams to strengthen local marketing, elevate the patient journey, and build scalable systems that support healthy, sustainable growth across a multi‑location footprint. Southeast DP is headquartered in Cornelius, NC and was founded in 2012.


dentalcorp received the Private Equity Deal of the Year award at the 2026 Americas M&A Atlas Awards. The recognition follows the completion of the organization’s take-private transaction earlier this year. Colosseum Dental announced that Arjen Radder will become CEO effective Oct 1. Arjen holds a PhD in Medicine. He succeeds Patrick De Maeseneire, who takes on the role of Chairman of the Board. Arjen brings nearly 30 years of experience across health technology and healthcare services. He joins Colosseum Dental from IVC Evidensia, the global leader in veterinary care, and was previously Group CEO of Bergman Clinics, following 20 years at Philips.  Colosseum is headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland and has locations in 11 countries, operating more than 600 clinics and 50 labs.


Paula Lippiatt promoted to Vice President of Operations at 123Dentist. She has been with the Canadian DSO for nearly 7 years. Paula began her dental career as a practice manager in 1996.
