The dental support organization (DSO) industry continues to see movement across leadership, operations, clinical education, marketing, hygiene, and culture as organizations expand and professionals step into new opportunities. Here are several notable people moves and recognition announcements across the DSO and dental group landscape for the month of September:
Premier Care Dental Management (PCDM), the parent organization of Dental365 and Leading Edge Specialized Dentistry, announced the promotion of Brian Musolin to Chief Strategy, Analytics & AI Officer, a newly created executive role. Musolin reports to Founder and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Scott Asnis.
Rene Sauerteig joined Pearl Street Dental Partners as CEO. He was previously CEO at Parkview Dental Partners. Founded in 1999 by David Meece and Dr. Robby Jennings, Pearl Street Dental Partners is a dental support organization (DSO) with practices across the Southeastern United States.
Parkview Dental Partners welcomed Jon Gregoire as the new CEO. He spent the past five years at P1 Dental Partners. He was also the Co-Founder and COO of Chicago-based Cornerstone Dental Partners.
Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics announced the appointment of Lorri Detrick as Chief Executive Officer and Andrew Napolitano as Chief Financial Officer, strengthening the organization’s leadership team as it enters its next phase of growth. Dr. Saam Zarrabi, Co-Founder and current CEO, will transition to Executive Chairman.
Paradigm Oral Health announced the promotion of two of its surgeon partners to the organization’s executive leadership team: Dr. Blake Ballenger has been named Chief Clinical Officer, and Dr. Rian Cho has been named Chief Growth Officer. They join Dr. Daniel Yacoob, who has served as Chief Operating Officer for the past two years. Together with Founder and Chief Executive Officer Dr. David Rallis, four board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeons now hold Paradigm’s most senior executive roles. The announcement comes just weeks after Paradigm completed a surgeon-led buyback that returned controlling ownership of the organization to its surgeons and leadership team, the third successful liquidity event for its doctors in seven years.
Lightwave Dental, a doctor-led dental platform in Virginia and the Carolinas, announced that Dr. Clifton Cameron, currently President and Chief Clinical Officer, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. He succeeds founder Justin Jory, who is stepping down as CEO after ten years leading the company. Dr. Cameron joined Lightwave in 2019 and has served as President and Chief Clinical Officer, where he has led the company’s clinical strategy, quality standards, and doctor development programs.
Christopher Johnson has returned to Guardian Dentistry Partners as Chief Growth Officer. He has been working for Reveal Dental Partners for the past year.
April Williams joined Smile Partners USA s their new Senior VP of Operations. She previously worked for 42 North Dental and Great Expressions Dental Centers.
Dental Care Alliance recently announced the addition of Doug Simpson as Chief Financial Officer and Mike Murphy as Chief Marketing Officer. Additionally, Darnelle Gomez was promoted to Director of Learning and Development.
- Doug Simpson brings three decades of healthcare finance and operating leadership across public, private, and private equity-backed organizations. He most recently served as President of Panoramic Health, a physician-led kidney care platform with more than 600 providers across 250+ locations in 15 states, after joining the company as EVP and Chief Financial Officer. Previously, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, a $13.6 billion insurer serving 3.7 million members, and held senior finance leadership roles at Elevance Health (formerly Anthem), including CFO of its $56 billion Government Business Division.
- Mike Murphy is a data-driven marketing executive with more than 15 years of experience scaling private equity-backed, multi-location healthcare and service businesses. Most recently, he advised the CEO of Blackstone-backed DECA Dental Group / Ideal Dental, which includes more than 160 offices across 10 states, on acquisition strategy and marketing leadership transition. Previously, he served as EVP of Marketing at PetVet Care Centers, a KKR portfolio company with more than 430 animal hospitals across 39 states.
Donna Jones joined ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers as Head of People. She held senior HR positions at Medline Industries and Baxer Healthcare.
The Aspen Group (TAG), a healthcare support organization headquartered in Chicago’s West Loop, announced two key additions to its marketing leadership team: David Chriswick joins as senior vice president of marketing, overseeing Aspen Dental and ClearChoice Dental Implant Center, and Shelly Kaushal joins as vice president of marketing, focused on ClearChoice. I also named Miguel Oliveira as Senior VP of Omnichannel Experience.
The marketing appointments follow Rafeh Masood’s arrival as TAG’s chief commercial officer in May 2026 and are an early step in his work to bring TAG’s marketing and growth efforts together to reach more consumers, drive demand and expand access to care. Chriswick and Kaushal bring deep consumer marketing experience to that strategy, including leadership roles at Orangetheory Fitness and The Bar Method, where they helped build a national brand while driving demand across a large network of local markets. TAG supports independent healthcare practices operating more than 1,400 locations across its five consumer healthcare brands: Aspen Dental, ClearChoice Dental Implant Center, WellNow Urgent Care, Chapter Aesthetic Studio and Lovet Pet Health Care.
In his new role, Oliveira will bring together key parts of the consumer journey across digital, mobile, call center and CRM, helping create a more connected experience from the moment someone begins looking for care through treatment and beyond. His initial focus will include Aspen Dental and ClearChoice. Oliveira brings more than 25 years of experience across hospitality, digital, CRM and revenue growth, most recently leading digital, performance marketing and CRM for Hyatt. Throughout his career, he’s built and connected experiences across digital channels, loyalty, customer service and call centers at scale. He holds an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.
Raj Mota joined SOHDental as Chief Financial Officer. Previously he worked for Docs Health Careers, Simply Beautiful Smiles and Eastern Dental Management.
Providence Dental Partners welcomed Hannah Hines as their new VP of Operations. Hines brings more than a decade of multi-practice leadership experience in dentistry, having built her career across every level of the practice, from general dentistry to orthodontic operations, before advancing into multi-site leadership. Most recently, Hines served as the Area Director of Operations at Smile Partners USA, where she provided strategic oversight across a portfolio of 30+ dental practices. Prior to that, she spent five years as Regional Director of Operations at North American Dental Group, overseeing performance across 10 orthodontic practices throughout Georgia, and helped lead the launch of a de novo practice from the ground up as Office Manager.
