Today’s Dental Network expands its Pediatric offering with the addition of SmileWorks Kids Dentistry to its Partner Network
Today’s Dental Network (TDN), a multi-specialty dental practice network and support organization to dental providers in Florida, has officially formed a partnership with Dr. Manav Malik and SmileWorks Kids Dentistry, a pediatric dentistry practice in Sarasota, Florida. The addition of Dr. Malik’s practice expands TDN’s pediatric specialty vertical and further enhances its ability to provide care to patients throughout all stages of life. SmileWorks serves children from ages 1-18 years old.
NEDG Opening New Londonderry Office
Led by cosmetic dentist Margarita Panajoti, DMD, New England Dental Group is expanding with a new office in Londonderry, NH. This will be the seventh location for the group which is headquartered in Southborough, Massachusetts. Premier Care Dental Management to Open New Jersey Prosthodontic Office
Specialized Dentistry of NJ, located in Manalapan Township, NJ is the latest to join Premier Care Dental Management. The practice is a prosthodontic and general dental practice, led by Dr. Jim Courey. Their team also includes periodontal and endodontic specialists. Currently, PCDM supports offices located in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Top NY Oral Surgeons Announce the Merger and Rebrand of 12 Oral Surgery Offices
Five Oral Surgical Groups composed of Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons in Manhattan, Queens, Long Island and Westchester County, NY have merged together and announced the rebrand of their offices—Leading Edge Oral Surgery. The rebranding includes the former Long Island Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates in Suffolk County, Premier Care Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and PML Oral & Implant Surgery in Nassau County, Leading Edge Oral Surgery in Queens and Manhattan Counties, and Westchester Oral & Maxillofacial Associates in Westchester County, all of which have partnered with Premier Care Dental Management over the years. The practice encompasses 12 offices across the New York Metropolitan area.
Sage Dental Celebrates Entry into the Tampa/St. Petersburg Market with Five Practice Acquisitions in Florida
Sage announced the acquisition of five new dental practices, including two Cornerstone Dental Group offices located in Tampa and St. Petersburg, Deerfield Dental Group located in Deerfield Beach, Horizon One Dental in Fort Myers, and Dr. Gary Selby in Brandon, Florida. The practices mark the company’s first of several planned locations in Hillsborough County and seventh office in Broward County. The newest acquisitions will bring Sage Dental to 76 total practices, serving more than 250,000 patients across Florida and Georgia.
Enable Dental Raises $8.4 Million to Expand Unique Dental Offerings
Enable Dental, which offers portable, at-home dental services, has closed a Series A-2 funding round with $8.4M in equity and debt. The round was led by CareQuest Innovation Partners with participation from FCA Venture Partners, which previously led the company’s Series A round, and Live Oak Bank through a venture debt facility. Kirill Zaydenman of CareQuest Innovation Partners has joined Enable Dental’s board. Enable Dental, which operates in 10 markets in six states, offers senior living facilities, health plans, payors, and healthcare organizations the ability to ensure access to full-service, at-home dental care for their residents and members.
Shore Capital Partners Announces Founding of OMS360 Through Affiliations with Kentucky Center for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Community Oral Facial Surgery
Shore Capital Partners announced that it has founded OMS360 with the completion of strategic partnerships with Kentucky Center for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Community Oral Facial Surgery. OMS360 is an oral surgeon support organization and consists of seven oral and maxillofacial surgery practices located across Kentucky, Alabama and Georgia. OMS360 continues to build its network of practices with expectations of becoming a preeminent oral surgeon support organization throughout the South and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States.
Great Lakes Dental Partners Deepens Indiana Expansion with Second Affiliation
Premier Dental Group of Merrillville is led by Dr. Brucci and has recently joined the midwestern DSO. Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, Great Lakes’ practices are non-branded. The group has 26 locations in IL and IN and is led by Jeff McCall, CEO.
Leith dental practice acquired by Clyde Munro Dental Group
Headquartered in Glasgow, Scotland, Clyde Munro was founded by Jim Hall in 2015 with the acquisition of seven practices. Since then, it has grown into Scotland’s largest dental group, comprised of 54 practices across Scotland, with more than 460,000 patients and 400 staff. KF Dental on East Hermitage Place, which serves close to 5,000 patients, is the latest to become part of the group. The DSO has been leading the way in terms of environmental and social governance (ESG), launching initiatives to recycle dental waste, invest in electric “pool cars”, establish six trailblazing “eco practices” as well as making the patient journey more digital, reducing paper waste. Clyde Monro has also recently been given an additional £25 million war chest for further acquisitions.
BGF invests in eight north and north-east dental clinics
Scottish Dental Care (SDC) Group, whose 15 clinics include five in or near Inverness, two in Aberdeen and one in Oban, has secured a multimillion-pound cash injection from growth capital investor BGF. Alongside the investment, healthcare sector expert James Buckley will join SDC Group’s board as non-executive chairman. Glasgow-based SDC Group was founded in 2016 by brothers Philip and Christopher Friel. The growing group will now embark on new ventures to acquire clinics and teams of staff in communities right across Scotland.
U.S. Oral Surgery Management (USOSM) Announces First Partnership in Massachusetts
USOSM is a specialty management services company that exclusively serves oral and maxillofacial surgeons. It has recently announced a new partnership with Central Mass Oral Surgery PC, an oral and maxillofacial practice treating patients in Leominster and Gardner, Massachusetts. Headquartered in Irving, Texas, this is USOSM’s first partnership in the state. USOSM has partner practices spanning 19 states. They include Texas, Colorado, Georgia, Tennessee, Minnesota, Alabama, Oklahoma, Louisiana, South Carolina, Mississippi, Florida, Indiana, Kentucky, Arizona, California, Oregon, Virginia, Washington and Massachusetts.
G’s Dental Studio Announces New Partnership with Smile Brands
Dr. Aleksandar Gavrilov and Hristina Kiprovska-Gavrilov founded G’s Dental Studio in Cedar Park, Texas in 2011. They currently lead a team of 14 across their two locations. Dr. Gavrilov was familiar with Smile Brands having worked at a Castle Dental years ago. Smile Brands, based in Irvine, California, is one of the largest providers of dental support services in the United States. The company supports nearly 700 affiliated practices, with more than 7,500 team members across 30 states. Smile Brands supports a portfolio of over 75 brands including: Bright Now! Dental, Castle Dental, Merit Dental, Midwest Dental, Monarch Dental, and Mondovi Dental. DCA concludes 30th Year Celebration with Unprecedented Growth
Over the past 12 months, DCA opened four de novo locations and completed 18 affiliations, adding 50 offices, and entering the state of Wisconsin in DCA’s most successful year ever. Founded in 1991 by Dr. Steve Matzkin with two dental practices in Sarasota, Florida, DCA now consists of over 370 allied practices in 21 states. DCA has grown to over 775 dentists, including 275 specialists, and experienced rapid growth in hygienists, for a total of more than 4,800 Allies. DCA’s allied practices represent all dental specialties and treat patients under more than 140 brand names.
42 North Dental Continues Record Growth Throughout 2021
2021 was a defining year for 42 North Dental, adding more practices to its portfolio than any other time in its history. Over the course of the year, the organization welcomed 27 locations in 4 new states (Indiana, Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania) and ended the year supporting 108 dental practices with 39 unique brands in 9 states extending from Maine to Michigan. 42 North Dental today has more than 1600 employees of which almost 300 are dentists.
MB2 Dental Celebrates Successful Year of Growth, Closes 2021 Adding Newest State, Washington
MB2 Dental, the first-ever dental partnership organization (DPO), experienced a successful year of growth, adding 111 new practice locations through new partnerships and de novos. A total of 115 doctor owners joined the DPO. In 2021, MB2 increased specialty partnerships, including orthodontics, endodontics, pedodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery practices. Thirteen MB2 associate doctors became practice owners. In 2021, MB2 expanded into 12 new states: AL, ID, IN, KY, MD, MN, NY, ND, OR, SD, VA, and WA. To close out the New Year, MB2 announced its first partnership in Washington with practice owners Dr. Ryan Hanks and Dr. Cameron Stroyan. Dr. Hanks is the owner of Northwest Family Dentistry. Together, Dr. Hanks and Dr. Stroyan own Woodland Dental Center.
Britely Dentures + Implants Expands into Florida
Vista Verde Dental Partners announced a new partnership with Dr. John Pasicznyk to open his own Britely Dentures + Implants Studio serving the greater Fort Myers and Naples Florida area. Founded in 2019 and supported by Vista Verde Dental Partners, Britely Dentures + Implants Studio currently operates in Arizona, Milwaukee, Minnesota, and Florida with plans to open 10 additional locations within the next 12 months. Guardian Dentistry Parnters welcomes Drs. Vivek Kashyap, Jay Shukla, and Tejesh Patel of Matthews Family Dentistry and their team in North Carolina and expands into South Carolina
Established in 2018, Guardian has expanded rapidly and now supports dental entrepreneurs in Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and South Carolina. Rhett Duleba of Value Dental Carolinas in South Carolina is the DSO’s first partner in the Palmetto State. The group was featured on Emerging Dental Groups to Watch in 2020 list. Located in the Denver Metro area, this practice has been serving their patients since 1946 with end-to-end services under one roof. This brings Peak Dental Services to 50 locations. US Endo Partners announces new partnerships
Brad Hajdik, DDS, Kirby Kjar, DDS, and their team at Katy Dental Specialists, from Katy, TX, have just joined US Endo Partners. The group also recently welcomed Dr. Michael J. Allen and his team at Umpqua Endodontics in Roseburg, Oregon, and Dr. Stuart O. Miller and his team at Carolinas Center for Endodontics in Jacksonville, NC. Based in Irving, TX, US Endo Partners considers themselves to be a specialty services partnership (SSP). The group is backed by investment partners. The Foundation for Endodontics, the philanthropic arm of the American Association of Endodontists, and U.S. Endo Partners, are launching the Foundation for Endodontics’ & U.S. Endo Partners’ Domestic Access to Care Program. The new program will aid endodontic specialists in providing free access to important endodontic care to underserved patients within the United States.
Heartland Dental Welcomes New Affiliations
Marla Smith, Tyler Semple and Rachael Sinclair-Hall added a new affiliation in Highlands Ranch, CO, and Mindy Demchak and Alex Bohnhoff added one in Wake Forest, NC. Heartland Dental is the largest DSO in the U.S. It was founded in 1997 by Rick Workman, DMD, who opened his first two dental offices in Effingham, IL. It currently supports more than 2,300 dentists in over 1,500 offices across 38 states.
