Shannon Kumiega Joins Simply Dental Management as Senior Operations Manager
Shannon began her career in dentistry as a dental assistant in 2000. After seven years as an assistant, she went on to work for Aspen Dental as an office manager and then regional manager. Just prior to joining Simply Dental Management, she was the operations manger at ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers. Simply Dental Management is privately held and was founded in 2016. It is based in Hopkinton, MA.
Dr. Stephen Canis Joins Progressive Dental Concepts as Chief Dental Officer
Progressive Dental Concepts, LLC, the largest locally owned and community-focused general dentistry group serving Central Pennsylvania, announced that Stephen Canis, DMD, CDC, has been named Chief Dental Officer for the organization. Most recently, Dr. Canis served as National Dental Director for United Concordia Dental/Highmark where he was a dental advisor and clinical consultant to dentists nationwide. He helped lead the organization’s quality assurance and clinical review process. Previously, Dr. Canis was an independent dentist practitioner in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Progressive Dental Concepts is owned and operated by and for dentists with member practices in Camp Hill, Carlisle, Harrisburg, Hershey, Marysville, New Cumberland, Palmyra, Shiremanstown and York, Pennsylvania.
Orthodontic Partners Announces Dr. Mike DePascale as Partner Doctor and Co-Clinical Director of Kozlowski Orthodontics
Dr. DePascale is the first orthodontic associate at an Orthodontic Partners practice to be promoted to Partner Doctor. Orthodontic Partners is an innovative National Orthodontic Group Practice created by orthodontists, for orthodontists. The organization seeks to partner with orthodontists nationally through affiliated practices in Arizona, Alabama, Colorado, Connecticut, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, and Missouri.
Eve Fadden Promoted to Director of New Office Operations at Aspen Dental Management, Inc.
Eve began her career with Aspen Dental as a registered dental hygienist in 2014. She soon became the dental hygiene coach. She then worked her way up in their Hygiene Support department. Most recently, she was the division director of ortho support where she supported 120+ locations. Aspen Dental Management, Inc. (ADMI) is one of the largest retail healthcare business support organizations in the U.S., supporting 15,000 healthcare professionals and team members at more than 1,000 health and wellness offices across 46 states in three distinct categories: Dental care, urgent care, and medical aesthetics. What started in 1998 as a business with a small footprint in the northeast, has grown into the largest branded network of dental offices in the world – collectively serving more than 30,000 patients every day.
Planet DDS Welcomes New Chief Financial Officer, Shawn Edwards
Shawn comes to Planet DDS with vast experience as a SaaS CFO, having led finance, accounting, and HR teams for large, private equity sponsored software companies for nearly a decade. Before joining Planet DDS, Shawn partnered with CEOs and leadership teams to accelerate growth and maximize value for diversified middle market companies specializing in software and IT. With over 15 years of private equity and M&A experience, Shawn has participated in over 10 M&A transactions, making him an invaluable addition to the leadership team at Planet DDS. He will oversee all finance, accounting and HR at Planet DDS. Planet DDS provides cloud-based dental practice management and imaging solutions.
Gray McGinnis Announced as New VP of Government Relations of the ADSO
In his new role, Gary will advocate before elected officials and regulatory agencies to advance policy that ensures DSO-supported dentists can operate in a space that allows them to prioritize patient care. Prior to joining ADSO, Mr. McGinnis ran his own firm serving as Principal at Grayline Strategy, a group that brings together experts, data and solutions to help business and government leaders manage transformation resulting from technological and socioeconomic catalysts. He has also served in senior level positions at Walmart and the American Petroleum Institute focusing on legislative, advocacy and ballot campaigns at the federal, state and local level. Prior to moving to the private sector, Mr. McGinnis was the policy director for the Colorado Senate Majority Office.
